MEMORANDUM

Subject: Small Movie Theaters - Liquor Licenses

Small businesses across Pennsylvania help to spur economic growth and revitalize local economies by strengthening communities and creating jobs. I believe that promoting small businesses in Pennsylvania is one of the most important steps we can take to ensure inclusive economic growth that benefits all Pennsylvanians.

For this reason, my legislation will permit small movie theaters that primarily screen independent films, classic films, and second-run films to receive a performing arts facility liquor license. The small movie theater would need to have between 100-350 seats. By allowing these small movie theaters to have a performing arts facility liquor license, it will help to support small businesses and create jobs for hard-working Pennsylvanians.

Please join me in supporting small movie theaters and local economies all across Pennsylvania.
