Subject: | License Compliance Program Transfer |
Act 44 of 2017, the Fiscal Code, included language that would allow the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board to address troublesome licensees more immediately. As passed, if the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board finds that a licensee does not meet a requirement under the Liquor Code for seating, square footage, food, health, etc. it may suspend the license immediately. Since its passage we have seen an increase in investigations, and ultimately stricter compliance with the law. However, the Fiscal Code is no place for Liquor Code provisions. As such, my bill will transfer this language, as passed in Act 44 of 2017 to the Liquor Code where it rightfully belongs. Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation. |
