Subject: Drinking Water Week Resolution
 
Pennsylvania is blessed with an abundance of a resource that is scarce in much of our nation and the world: fresh water that can become drinking water. While many Pennsylvanians enjoy well water, private and public entities operate several thousand community water systems which provide high quality drinking water to homes and businesses in our Commonwealth. Properly conserving and preserving this precious natural resource is important despite its abundance.

I plan to introduce a resolution designating the week of May 5 through 11, 2019, as “Drinking Water Week” in Pennsylvania. Please join me in recognizing the significance of one of our most precious natural resources in our Commonwealth.
