To: All House members
Subject: RESOLUTION – CONDOLENCE RESOLUTION FOR STAFF SGT CHRISTOPHER K. A. SLUTMAN

Three(3) U.S. Marines were killed in the line of duty Monday April 8, 2019 while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan, two of which had ties to York County and served with ECHO Company 2nd Battalion 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division with the Marine Forces in Harrisburg.

This resolution is in honor of one of them ~ Staff Sgt. Christopher K. A. Slutman.

Slutman was a graduate of Frederick Douglass High School in Maryland, and a decorated firefighter with the Fire Department of New York City, and began his career with the U.S. Marines in 2005. Stulman’s parents currently reside in Lower Windsor Township.

Slutman had been deployed four(4) times: Operation Iraqi Freedom, Mozambique, Georgia and Afghanistan during which time he received various awards and decorations.

Please join Representative Mike Turzai and myself in honoring the life, service and achievements of Staff Sgt Christopher K.A. Slutman and extend condolences to his family and friends.
