MEMORANDUM

Posted: March 28, 2019 10:25 AM
From: Representative Michael Peifer
To: All House members
Subject: Co-sponsorship Memo - Finance Repeal Package

Colleagues,

As you know, our Commonwealth has thousands of regulations on the books. Many of these acts were enacted several decades ago and are simply archaic and are no longer applicable in the 21st century. In addition, the existence of these outdated laws contributes to the already complex and confusing nature of government.

To help clean up our laws, the House Finance Committee plans to introduce an eight-bill package that will repeal some of these antiquated acts.

Additionally, Rep. Andrew Lewis will be sponsoring a bill to consolidate the Solicitation of Funds for Charitable Purposes Act and the Institutions of Purely Public Charity Act into Title 10 (Charities Code).

Please join me in providing the citizens of the Commonwealth with a more transparent and streamlined rule of law. Any questions or concerns please contact Tommy Miller, Executive Director at 717-260-6413
