House of Representatives
Session of 2019 - 2020 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: March 25, 2019 02:52 PM
From: Representative Jim Rigby
To: All House members
Subject: Bill Repealing Antiquated Act - Settlement of Public Accounts (Act 99 of 1811)

Pennsylvania has thousands of regulations on the books. Many of these laws were enacted several decades ago and are simply archaic and no longer applicable in the 21st century. In addition, the existence of these outdated laws contributes to the already complex and confusing nature of government.

To help clean up our laws, I plan to introduce a bill which would repeal the Settlement of Public Accounts (Act 99 of 1811). By doing so, we will be providing the citizens of this commonwealth with a more transparent and streamlined rule of law.

Please join me in cosponsoring this legislation.

Introduced as HB1041
