Subject: River Pilots Rate Adjustment
 
In the near future I will introduce legislation that will provide a rate increase for the River Pilots who navigate trade vessels along the Delaware River and its navigable tributaries.

The rate adjustment is 1% in 2020, 1% in 2021 and 1% in 2022. These adjustments will continue to support a first class piloting system along the waters of the Delaware River and Bay, as well as a state-of-the-art Vessel Traffic Information System that is integral to safety and security.

This increase has been agreed to by the Pilots Association, the Maritime Exchange of the Delaware River and Bay, and shippers along the river.
