Subject: Sentencing Certain Offenses Involving Theft from Government or Government-Funded Entities
 
In the near future, I will introduce legislation to sentence more severe penalties for government officials who steal from taxpayers.

Too often, warnings and probation are given but no jail time sentences are given to government officials who steal large sums of money from taxpayers. My legislation would mandate at least one day in jail for every $1,000 stolen.

I would greatly appreciate your support of this legislation. Thank you for your consideration.
