MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 7, 2019 08:25 AM
From: Representative Maria P. Donatucci
To: All House members
Subject: Small Business Incubators

Small businesses are the engines that drive a strong economy. Starting a small business can be a stressful and overwhelming task. If an entrepreneur wishes to strike out on their own, we need to make sure we are able to provide them with assistance so their business can grow.

This is why I am introducing legislation to recapitalize and modernize the Small Business Incubators Program. The program will be able to provide up to $20 million in grants and loans for our small businesses to cover startup and overhead costs. In addition, we will protect our workers and investments by requiring full-value repayment if a recipient leaves Pennsylvania.

I ask that you join me in co-sponsoring this legislation that will help provide for a stronger economy and create sustainable jobs by supporting our small businesses and Pennsylvania workers.
