Subject: No Budget? No Pay
 
Every time we fail to pass a state budget on time we are failing the people we work for and hurting their trust in us and in government.

I’ve got a common sense solution: if we don’t do our jobs, we don’t get paid.

My bill would make sure if we don’t enact a budget by the June 30th deadline, the General Assembly, the Governor, the Lt. Governor and the Cabinet Secretaries will not get a single dollar in salary until that budget passes.
