Subject: | Expanded Deer Hunting Opportunities for Junior, Disabled and Senior License Holders |
I will be introducing legislation that will expand deer hunting opportunities for junior, disabled, and senior license holders as well as active duty resident military personnel. The bill allows these licensed hunters to harvest an antlerless deer during the first day of statewide regular firearm season. Currently, in most of the state the first five days of deer firearm season is restricted to only antlered deer. Allowing these hunters to harvest both doe and buck deer on opening day of rifle season will increase the rate of success and the quality of hunt for these deserving license buyers. |
