Subject: Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Awareness Month
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution recognizing September 2017 as FASD Awareness Month in Pennsylvania. Children born of mothers who consume any alcohol during pregnancy can be affected by FASD, a group of mental, physical and neurological birth defects.

Preventing FASD is simple: there is no safe amount of alcohol that can be consumed during pregnancy.

Please join me in cosponsoring this resolution and help raise awareness about FASD and its prevention, identification and treatment.
