Subject:	Recognizing the 75th Anniversary of Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association

I will be introducing a resolution to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association (PMAA) and designate the week of September 10th through 16, 2017 as “Municipal Authorities Week” in Pennsylvania. Founded in 1941, PMAA continues to meet the needs of authorities by providing legislative and regulatory advocacy, member benefit programs, education and training, an annual conference and trade show, an interactive website and bi-monthly magazine, legal guidance and access to staff available to answer various inquiries. Today, PMAA represents more than 700 municipal authorities and 593 associate members; together, these members serve more than six million citizens across the Commonwealth.
