Subject: Resolution Directing the Legislative Budget & Finance Committee to Conduct a Study on the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts’ Funding Formula
 
In the near future, I plan on introducing legislation directing the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee to conduct a study on the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts’ funding formula and how resources are allocated to newer, minority, LGBTQ and rural artistic organizations. It has been proposed that the current funding formula disadvantages arts organizations of this kind. This study will uncover what organizations benefit and what organizations lose out under the current formula, as well as propose changes to the funding formula to create a more even playing field.
