Subject: Domestic Violence – Court Ordered Drug, Alcohol and Mental Health Evaluations
 





SUBJECT: Domestic Violence – Court Ordered Drug, Alcohol and Mental Health Evaluations

In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation amending Title 23 (Domestic Relations) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statues, in protection from abuse, further providing for contempt for violation of order of agreement.
This legislation will provide for additional services ordered for the perpetrator of domestic violence. The Court shall order the defendant to undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation and a mental health evaluation and direct the defendant to comply with any recommendations resulting from the evaluation. Please see attached language.
