Subject:	Designating June 10 through 17, 2017 as Motorsports Week in Pennsylvania

We know that motorsports events are entertaining and offer opportunities for friends and families to come together. Many of us also know that the Commonwealth has benefited economically from motorsports events and from the business side of motorsports, in the form of industries that produce and support motorsports vehicles. This year marks the 43rd anniversary of the first NASCAR 500-mile race. Given this milestone and the importance of motorsports to Pennsylvania, I plan to introduce a resolution designating June 10 through 17, 2017 as Motorsports Week in Pennsylvania. This week will be highlighted by the appearance of the NASCAR Hauler Parade at the Capitol. Please consider cosponsoring this resolution.
