Subject: Resolution Designating April 23-29, 2017 as "Pennsylvania Home Visitation and Family Support Week"
 
I am planning to introduce legislation very soon that will designate the week of April 23-29, 2017, as Pennsylvania Home Visitation and Family Support Week.

Early Head Start, Healthy Families America, Nurse-Family Partnership and Parents as Teachers are federally-recognized programs that served over 12,000 families in Pennsylvania in 2015-16 through funding sources in almost every county. They have helped families to achieve economic stability and make their children healthier and ready for school success.

All young children and their families deserve an opportunity to succeed, and these programs do a great job in helping them do so.

Please join me in cosponsoring this resolution.
