House of Representatives
Session of 2017 - 2018 Regular Session

MEMORANDUM

Posted: April 11, 2017 09:51 AM
From: Representative Joe Emrick and Rep. Marcia M. Hahn, Rep. Zachary Mako
To: All House members
Subject: Resolution Designating May 21-27, 2017 as "Public Works Week in Pennsylvania"

Public Works Professionals are the men and women that work diligently to keep our communities operating efficiently. The importance of their work is evident everywhere we go and in everything we do.

These dedicated workers are responsible for providing, maintaining, and improving the structures and services we rely on each and every day. From our streets to our sewer and water systems, building maintenance, wastewater treatment, solid waste collection, airport operations, and many other duties within our local communities.

Because we believe it is important to recognize these individuals for their hard work and dedication to this Commonwealth , Representative Marcia Hahn, Representative Zachary Mako, and I plan to introduce a resolution designating May 21-27, 2017 as "Public Works Week in Pennsylvania", to coincide with "National Public Works Week."

This Resolution is being offered to honor all those individuals who work in the Public Works field. Please join us as we recognize the contributions and accomplishments they make to our Commonwealth.
