Subject: | Donald Gise Memorial Road (Former House Bill 2004) |
In the near future, I plan to reintroduce House Bill 2004 which would honor and recognize a veteran of the Vietnam War who lost his life in service to his country. In 1968, Donald Gise was drafted, like many Pennsylvanians, to serve in Vietnam. During his time as an infantryman he served his country with honor and distinction. As result of his bravery, Private First Class (PFC) Gise was awarded the Bronze star. On October 4th, 1968, PFC Gise was killed while stationed in the Mekong Delta. In order to honor this resident of Spring Grove Borough this legislation will designate a portion of State Route (S.R.) 116 as the Private First Class Donald Gise Memorial Road. This memorial will begin as S. R. 116 leaves Spring Grove Borough and continue till the intersection S.R. 116 and S.R. 3042 Please join me and co-sponsor this legislation to honor a fallen Pennsylvanian hero. If you have any questions please contact Jordan Grant at Jgrant@pahousegop.com or 717 767 3947.
