| Subject: | Pennsylvania Veterans' Monuments and Memorial Trust Fund |
| In the near future, I will introduce legislation to change the “Pennsylvania Veterans’ Memorial Trust Fund” to the "Pennsylvania Veterans’ Monuments and Memorial Trust Fund", and enhance the Fund to better preserve monuments and memorials dedicated to Pennsylvania's veterans and military personnel. Currently, the Pennsylvania Veterans’ Memorial Trust Fund is administered by the State Veterans' Commission for the operation and maintenance of the Pennsylvania Veterans' Memorial, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. My legislation changes the “Pennsylvania Veterans’ Memorial Trust Fund” to the “Pennsylvania Veterans’ Monuments and Memorial Trust Fund” and allows moneys in the Fund to be used to promote, administer, operate, maintain, and complete other various monuments and memorials dedicated to Pennsylvania's veterans and military units. Under my proposal, the Fund will be administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans’ Affairs (DMVA). Please join me as a co-sponsor of this legislation to support DMVA as they work to preserve Pennsylvania’s veterans’ monuments and memorials. |
