Subject:	Resolution: Child Abuse Prevention Month (April 2016)

Upon our return to Harrisburg, I will be introducing a Resolution designating April 2016 as "Child Abuse Prevention Month" in Pennsylvania.

Children are our greatest joy and our most important responsibility. It is our job to love, protect and nurture these young people to make sure that they grow into healthy, well-adjusted and productive adults. Child abuse crosses all racial, economic and geographic boundaries across this nation and throughout this Commonwealth. It is the task of all of us, whether as individuals, community groups or government organizations, to prevent child abuse or maltreatment of our youngest population.
