Subject: Resolution Designating February 11, 2016 as “PA 2-1-1 Day” in Pennsylvania
 
Please join me in co-sponsoring a resolution designating February 11, 2016 as “PA 2-1-1” day in Pennsylvania.

The 2-1-1 system in Pennsylvania is a free service that is available to 85 percent of citizens of the Commonwealth to gain support needed through health and human services. 2-1-1 connects Pennsylvanians in need to health and human service assistance available through government programs, private and non-profit organizations in their communities. Additionally, the 2-1-1 system connects volunteers and donors with organizations who can leverage resources needed to meet the needs of the community.

PA 2-1-1 Day is a day to encourage citizens to recognize the opportunities available to them through resources provided by the 2-1-1 system.

I welcome your support in the effort to recognize the resources available to citizens of the Commonwealth through the PA 2-1-1 system during PA 2-1-1 Day.
