| In the very near future, I will be introducing legislation which would provide emergency funding for the state’s Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Although the LIHEAP program started accepting applications on November 2, 2015, indications are that the program is only being funded by diverting money from other essential programs. Therefore, to ensure a clear funding path that will ensure the money for these programs are in place prior to winter making these programs essential to the preservation of life, I would greatly appreciate your support of this legislation, by adding your name as a cosponsor and affirmative vote on the House floor.
