Subject:	Congratulating Edward A. Mann Resolution Co-Sponsorship

I will be introducing a resolution that will recognize and congratulate Edward A. Mann as the longest serving State Fire Commissioner in the history of Pennsylvania and thank him for his contributions to this Commonwealth. Mr. Mann served as State Fire Commissioner from June 2000 to January 2015 and worked diligently to reauthorize and increase both the grant and loan programs, historically including for the first time career fire departments in the grant program. Operating under four different governors, Mr. Mann developed and advanced many programs that trained, accredited, and funded various fire service programs and departments. Mr. Mann was also an advocate to the emergency medical services providers many times assisting these volunteers with their program needs. My resolution recognizes Mr. Mann for his contributions to the Commonwealth and to the men and women who are involved in both the fire and emergency services and who risk their lives every day in order to keep the citizens of the Commonwealth safe. I hope that you will join me in applauding Mr. Mann and recognizing him for his hardworking dedication and contributions to the fire and emergency services of this Commonwealth.
