Subject:	Resolution - Recognizing the U.S. Women's National Team for Winning the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup

On July 5, 2015, the U.S. Women's National Team - the USWNT - won the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup after defeating Japan by a score of 5-2. This is the third Women's World Cup title for the United States. The United States previously won in 1991 and 1999. The USWNT is the first team to win three Women's World Cup titles and means they will be the only women's national team to wear "three stars" on their jerseys. The USWNT inspired our country and appropriately used the slogan "One Nation. One Team." as they advanced through the tournament and won the title. Please join me in recognizing the U.S. Women's National Team for winning the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup.
