In the near future, I will be introducing a House Resolution recognizing May as “Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month.” Former Representative Dick Hess had introduced a similar resolution in years past. Last session in Dick’s memory and on behalf of the 1,659 children and adults living with cystic fibrosis in our Commonwealth, I introduced House Resolution 830 and I plan to reintroduce a similar resolution in the near future. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide).
