Subject:	Resolution Designating May 9, 2015, as “National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Day” in Pennsylvania

In the near future, I plan on introducing a resolution designating May 9, 2015, as “National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Day” in Pennsylvania. This year will mark the 23rd anniversary for the nation’s largest single-day food drive. On May 9, 2015, letter carriers will collect nonperishable food donations as they deliver mail along their postal routes. These donations provide a critical increase in supplies for food banks, pantries and shelters for the summer months when supplies are low and school lunch programs are not available for our youth. Please consider joining me in recognizing May 9, 2015, as “National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Day” in Pennsylvania.
