Subject: Resolution Commemorating the 175th Anniversary of Zelienople Borough
 
In the near future, I will be introducing a resolution celebrating the 175th anniversary of the Borough of Zelienople.

Baron Dettmar Basse came to America from Germany in 1802 and purchased 10,000 acres of Depreciation Lands in western Pennsylvania, built a home which he called Bassenheim, established a sawmill, brickyard, and an iron furnace, and laid out a town which he named Zelienople.

The borough of Zelienople strives to preserve the traditions of the past as they encourage the strength and growth of community spirit in the present and for future generations. Please join me in recognizing Zelienople on this important anniversary.
