MEMORANDUM

Posted: January 12, 2015 04:01 PM
From: Representative Brad Roae
To: All House members
Subject: Prohibiting school board members from voting on union contracts if a relative is covered under the contract.

In the near future, I will introduce legislation which would prohibit a school board member from voting on a union contract if a close relative or household resident of the school board member is covered under the union contract being voted on. This would include a spouse, child, sibling or parent, or any household resident that uses the same address as the school board member for their PA personal income taxes. If this situation would occur, the school board member would be excused from voting on the contract.

I would greatly appreciate your support of this legislation. Thank you for your consideration.
