Subject: Resolution Declaring Ronald Reagan Day
 
In the near future I plan to introduce a resolution recognizing February 6, 2015 as “Ronald Reagan Day”, here in the Commonwealth in honor of his 104th birthday.

President Reagan's pursuit of an active social policy agenda for the nation's children helped to lower crime and drug use in our neighborhoods. His commitment to our armed forces contributed to the restoration of pride in America, her values and those cherished by the free world, and prepared United States Armed Forces to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

Mr. Reagan was an exemplary man and should be recognized for his patriotism and dedication to serving the people of the United States of America.

I hope you will consider joining me in sponsoring this piece of legislation.
