Subject: | Job Creation Through Investment |
I will be re-introducing legislation (House Bill 36) which consecutively passed the House in the last two legislative sessions which catalyzes job creation by investing solely in small businesses who are headquartered here in Pennsylvania through the establishment of an angel investment tax credit. Those businesses who qualify must have a plan to commercialize a new product or idea, have fewer than 100 employees, and would be permitted to be in business within the Commonwealth for no more than five consecutive years. Upon approval, my proposal would provide those who invest in qualified businesses with a 25% tax credit. Previous sponsors include: HENNESSEY, EVERETT, EMRICK, TRUITT, C.
