Subject: | Co-sponsorship: Further providing for disposal of Decedent's remains (HB1925) |
When we return in January, I will be re-introducing House Bill 1925 that would further providing for the right to dispose of a decedent’s remains. There are times when there are two or more persons with equal standing as next of kin who cannot agree on the disposition of the decedent’s remains. This bill would use the “majority rule” in that if there are two or more in equal standing as next of kin, the authority to dispose shall be determined by the majority. House Bill 1925 passed the House by a vote of 201-0 in March 2014. If you have any questions on this bill, please contact Margaret Tricarico at mtricari@pahouse.net or 717-772-5568 (Democratic Caucus Ext. 6168). Thank you. Previous co-sponsors: READSHAW, SABATINA, KORTZ, MURT, DeLUCA, MILLARD, MAHONEY, KOTIK, COHEN, CLYMER, O'BRIEN, CALTAGIRONE and GINGRICH |
