Subject: Eliminating State Cars for Legislators

In January of 2015, I will introduce legislation that would ban state cars for Legislators. No new state cars would be assigned to Legislators after the effective date of this legislation. Legislators who currently have state cars would be allowed to keep them until the end of the lease or when DGS determines that it is no longer cost effective to put more money into a leased car. Additionally, replacements would not be issued when a state car is turned in.

I would greatly appreciate your support of this legislation. Thank you very much for your consideration.

Introduced as HB227
