House Co-Sponsorship Memoranda

In the coming weeks, I plan to introduce the Voter Freedom and Integrity Act. This legislation would amend the Pennsylvania Election Code to allow for early voting in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania would join 34 other states that allowed early voting in the 2012 election.

My legislation would provide for polling places to be open across the Commonwealth for one week prior to Election Day. This proposal would increase voter participation as well as ensure integrity at the polls by alleviating long lines.

The right to vote is fundamental. As legislators, we have a responsibility to ensure our citizens have the freedom to exercise their rights. My legislation would ensure that this fundament right is protected for future generations.
