Subject: Community Based Services Tax Credit
 
In the near future, we intend to introduce legislation with regard to the Community Based Services Tax Credit. This credit has not been implemented to its fullest capacity, after the passage of Act 85 of 2012.

After discussing this with the Department of Community and Economic Development and the Department of Revenue, it was recommended that the attached language be introduced to better utilize this proposed tax credit and make it easily accessible to the mental health care and intellectual disability services providers.

Please consider co-sponsoring this initiative in an effort to assist our mental health care and intellectual disability services providers.
