Subject: June 22, 2014 as "Lineworker Appreciation Day"
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution to recognize June 22, 2014 as “Lineworker Appreciation Day” in Pennsylvania.

This resolution is proposed in honor of the thousands of men and women risking their lives every day ensuring the reliable delivery of electricity throughout the state. Taking this day to recognize the tireless efforts, extreme conditions, personal sacrifice and risk involved for our men and women is essential. Lineworkers are called on to assist in disaster relief restoration efforts statewide and in various affected states, making themselves available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

I hope you will join me in co-sponsoring this resolution in an effort to honor our Pennsylvania Lineworker’s in designating June 22, 2014 as “Lineworker Appreciation Day.”
