Subject:	Land Conveyance

On behalf of the Department of Military and Veterans’ Affairs (DMVA), the Department of General Services (DGS) and the Department of Transportation (PennDOT), I plan to introduce an omnibus land conveyance to sell four Commonwealth properties. The conveyance of the following properties is included in this legislation: Borough of Carlisle, Cumberland County: Approximately 2.3848-acres of land and improvements to be sold through a competitive bidding process. The proceeds of this sale will be deposited into the Motor License Fund. Peters Township, Franklin County: Conveys approximately 6.04-acres of permanent utility and access easements to the Bear Valley Franklin County Pennsylvania Joint Authority from the Ft. Loudon Historical Site for purposes of groundwater withdrawal for a one-time payment of $19,500. City of Scranton, Lackawanna County: Conveys approximately 0.99-acres of land as a right-of-way over certain Project 70 lands for $1.00 City of Allentown, Lehigh County: Approximately 195.167-acres of land and improvements to be sold through public solicitation for proposals. The proceeds of this sale will be deposited into the General Fund. I respectfully request your co-sponsorship on this omnibus land conveyance.
