Subject: Loyalty Day Resolution
 
In the near future, I will be introducing a House Resolution which designates May 1, 2013 as "Loyalty Day" in Pennsylvania, and further commends the Pennsylvania Department, Veterans of Foreign Wars, for conducting their annual "Loyalty Day" ceremony on the grounds of the State Capitol.

"Loyalty Day" is set aside as a special day for citizens to reaffirm their loyalty to the United States of America. This day was established by President Dwight D. Eisenhower when he signed into law Public Law 85-529 in 1958.
