Subject: Preventing the Sunset of PA’s Wiretap Act
 
Last session the legislature enacted updates to Pennsylvania’s Wiretap Act. Unfortunately, during the debate and discussion on the bill, the sunset date was overlooked and not updated. Accordingly, Pennsylvania’s Wiretap Act is set to expire at the end of this year - December 31, 2013.

Shortly, I will be introducing legislation to extend PA’s Wiretap Act for 5 more years to December 31, 2018.
