Subject: Designating May 6 through 12, 2013 as Nurses Week in Pennsylvania
 
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution declaring May 6-12, 2013 as “Nurses Week” in Pennsylvania.

Every year in May, National Nurses Week is a time that focuses on highlighting the diverse ways in which nurses are working to improve health care. From bedside nursing in hospitals and long-term care facilities, to the halls of research institutions, state legislatures and Congress; the depth and breadth of the nursing profession is meeting the expanding health care needs of American society. The Pennsylvania State Nurses Association is the largest professional nursing association in this Commonwealth.

Please join me in recognizing the importance of nurses in Pennsylvania by adding your name as a co-sponsor of this resolution.
