MEMORANDUM

Posted: December 21, 2012 02:14 PM
From: Representative Martin T. Causer
To: All House members
Subject: Bridge Naming Legislation

In the near future, I will be introducing legislation to name three bridges in Potter County after Vietnam veterans who were killed in action. The first bridge which spans the West Branch of Pine Creek in Galeton will be designated as the “PFC Clark Robert Douglas Memorial Bridge”. PFC Douglas was an army medic who was killed jumping from a helicopter.

The second bridge which spans Oswayo Creek in Shinglehouse will be designated as the “SPC Gerald D. Stonemetz Memorial Bridge”. SPC Stonemetz was killed due to injuries sustained while serving in Vietnam.

The third bridge on SR 49 near Mills which spans the Cowanesque Creek will be designated as the “SPC Kenneth Wayne Lampman Memorial Bridge”. SPC Lampman was killed when his helicopter crashed.

Please join me in cosponsoring this legislation to honor these fallen heroes.

Introduced as HB293
