Subject:	Nonprofit Corporations - Notice via E-mail

Current Commonwealth law allows business corporations to send written notices to officers, directors and shareholders via electronic mail. In the near future, I plan to reintroduce HB 683 from last session to allow nonprofit corporations to utilize the same procedure. The nonprofit will be permitted to send written notice by electronic mail to an address provided by the intended recipient for that purpose, and only if the recipient has given authorization.
