| CAREER: | Prior to running for the Senate, Rafferty served as an attorney in private practice, focusing on education, real estate, zoning and business and estates law. As Deputy Attorney General for the Commonwealth from 1988 to 1991 he was responsible for the Criminal Law Division and Grand Jury Investigations. Prior to that, he served as the general manager of the General Washington Recreation Center, where he was responsible for the complex's operations and budget from 1976-1986. He later served as president of the General Washington Recreation Corporation, a non-profit corporation; Member of Senate 2003 to date. |
