LEACH, Daylin, a Representative from Montgomery County; born in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa., 1961; graduated, Parkland High School, 1979; B.S., political science, Temple University, 1983; J.D., University of Houston Law Center, 1986; attended, Harvard's Kennedy School of Government Executive Training Program; attorney (1986-2002); adjunct professor, Muhlenberg College and Cedar Crest College; host, “Lehigh Valley Crossfire”; president, Pennsylvania Young Democrats (1990-1992); member, Allentown Zoning Appeals Board (1990-1994); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 2003 term; reelected to 2 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (2008); elected, delegate, Democratic National Convention (2008, 2012, 2016); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (2009-2020); appointed, Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing (2011-2014); appointed, State Planning Board; unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (2014).
