BISHOP, Louise E. Williams, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Cairo, Grady County, Ga., June 27, 1933; graduated, West Philadelphia High School, 1953; communications and radio broadcasting degree, American Foundation of Dramatic Arts; Baptist Evangelist minister; radio personality; host and gospel programmer, “The Louise Williams Show”; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1989 term and was reelected to serve 13 more consecutive terms; appointed, Select Committee for Open-Heart Surgery (1996); resigned from the House, December 16, 2015.
