PAYTON, Tony John, Jr., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, 1981 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; graduated, Hatboro-Horsham High School; B.A., Community College of Philadelphia; housing counselor, United Communities of South Philadelphia; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 2007, 2009 and 2011 terms; appointed, Legislative Data Processing Center Commission (2009-2010); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (2012); elected, delegate, Democratic National Convention (2008); government affairs consultant, Malady & Wooten LLP (2013-2016); deputy secretary, Office of Community Affairs, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (2016-2018); lobbyist, David Scott Partners (2018-present).
