SIPTROTH, John J., a Representative from Monroe and Pike Counties; born in East Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pa., 1946; graduated, Stroudsburg High School, 1964; petty officer, 2nd class, United States Navy (1966-1970); assistant foreman of maintenance, Delaware River Toll Bridge Commission (1982-2005); supervisor, Smithfield Township (1990-2005); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by Special Election, February 8, 2005 to serve the remaining 2005 term; Sworn-In, March 16, 2005 and reelected to 2 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Select Committee on Influenza Vaccine (2006); appointed, Select Committee on Information Security (2006); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 2011 term.
