This amendment changes the notification period for facility closure from 12 months to 7 total, broken into a 3 month notice period prior to a final announcement of facility closure and a 4 month period between that announcement and the final closure. It further provides for a request window for effected employees represented by an employee labor organization, and clarifies the definition of facility.
