House Committee Roll Call Votes

Committee PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE Date June 21, 2017
Bill/Resolution SB354 PN0710 A02198 Type of Motion Adopt Amendment
Maker of Motion Rep. Mustio Seconded by Rep. Readshaw
Brief Description
Modifies the required reporting of criminal proceedings. The requirement to report arrests and indictments is deleted; licensees are required to report convictions on felony, misdemeanor and drug or alcohol related summary offenses. The amendment also modifies the mandate that a licensing board shall take disciplinary action for failure to report by making it a “may” provision. Finally, the amendment modifies the temporary suspension authority to allow a board to temporarily suspend a license if it finds there is an immediate and clear danger to the public welfare, in addition to health and safety. The remaining changes are technical.
