House Committee Roll Call Votes

Amends the bill to require a school entity to administer a locally developed assessment regarding civics education. A school entity may use the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services test instead of a locally developed assessment. Removes graduation requirement and requires school entity to issue a certificate of recognition to students who attain a passing grade. Further requires PDE to conduct an electronic survey of school entities concerning assessment of civics education.
